JAMES ALBERT JACKSON

CHARLOTTE - Mr. James Albert (Al) Jackson, 21, of 1401-7 Hill Rd. Pinetree Apt., passed away Sunday, December 3, 1978. Al was born February 25, 1957 in Charlotte, son of James L. And Rachel Wilson Jackson of Pineville NC.

In addition to his parents, Al was survived by his wife, Betsy Wentz Jackson; one son, Joshua Albert Jackson of the home; two sisters, Miss Lori Jackson and Miss Joni Lorraine Jackson, both of Pineville; maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Ralph O Wilson of Mt. Holly. The remains will lie in state in the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Arrangements by Hankins and Whittington.

Al is a graduate of South Mecklenburg class of 1975. He was a member of Stough Memorial Baptist Church, the Rowe Hunt Club at McBee SC and was an All American Soap Box Derby Champion 1971. He was employed with General Tire and Rubber Company. 

Funeral services will be at 3PM on Tuesday December 5 at Stough Memorial Baptist Church with his minister, Rev. James Grady Faulk officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Rickey Jackson, Jimmy Brewer, Billy Brickey, Billy Brickey, Tom McLeod, Len McLeod and Lesslie Gladden. Honorary pallbearers; The Rowe Hunt Club, fellow employees at General Tire, Joe McGraw, Kevin Kelly, Dexter White, Brian Taylor, Artie Raikes, Jeff Morris, Terry Jeffries, Johnny Hefron, Tommy Rea, Billly Harkins, Charles Helms, Larry Campbell and Ralph Wilson.
