MOLLY McCLAIN MULLEN

CHARLOTTE - Mrs. Molly McClain Mullen, 52, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family and her cat Sam. She was born October 9, 1957 in Pine Bluff, AR, daughter of the late William Ray McClain and Shirley Jane Rhodes.

A resident of Charlotte for many years, Molly graduated from South Mecklenburg High School class of 1975 and later earned her BA degree in Marketing at Appalachian State University. Mrs. Mullen was currently employed as an Real Estate Appraiser (North and South Carolina licensed) for Wells Fargo. 

Molly is survived by her husband, Robert J. Mullen, son, Christopher B. Mullen, both of Charlotte, and her sister Jennifer McClain Hardymon of Fort Mill, SC.

Molly should be remembered for her love of-warm weather, spring time flowers, the sandy beaches of South Carolina and tomato sandwiches, and for her love of a good glass of iced tea, Carolina Panthers football on Sunday afternoons, salt water reef aquariums, her friendly cat Sam, the 5:00 a.m. crowd and workouts at the Harris Y, the final round of golf on a Sunday afternoon, auctions and real estate, time with her friends, helping others, her best friend Franny and most of all her son Chris; the greatest joy of her life. 

A private gathering of family and friends was held at the residence. 

The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Carolinas Medical Cancer Center, Pineville Radiation Center and Hospice and Palliative Care of Charlotte.
