ROBERT MEALEY O'DELL

CONCORD - Mr. Odell, 47, of 8580 Flowe Farm Road, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2005. Robert was born on May 6, 1957 in Providence, RI, son of the late Frederick A. Odell, Jr. and Florence Pickles Odell. 

He was a 1975 graduate of South Mecklenburg High School class of 1975 and attended UNC Charlotte. He was an account executive for Toshiba. He was a member of the Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, where he was active working with the youth.

The family will receive friends at the residence, 8580 Flowe Farm Rd. Visitation will be from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday, January 12 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. Services will be held at 4:00PM Thursday, January 13 at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church of Concord, with the Reverend Joseph A. Miller officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Betsy Pless Odell, a son, Robert Mealey Odell, Jr, a daughter Kelly Marie Odell, all of the home; brothers and wives, Frederick and Iris Odell III of Morehead City, NC, David and Alice Odell of South Carolina, and William and Patty Odell of Matthews, NC; father and mother in law, Carl and Marie Pless of Rockwell, NC; and ten nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cross of Christ Lutheran Church for the college scholarship fund for his children, Robert Jr. and Kelly, or the General Memorial Fund of his church, 4500 RImer Rd., Concord, NC 28025.
