IN MEMORY OF KINNEY DINKINS

Our brother, uncle, son and dad.

I took God’s hand when I heard Him call.

I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work or play.

Perhaps my time seemed oh so brief, please don’t burden yourself with so much grief.

I lived my life the best I could. I chose the path as I thought I should.

The road has ended, I see, Hallelujah, my soul and spirit have been set free.

Sorry I left so many loved ones behind to  mourn, the one’s I’ve helped and watched be born.

Family, I love and cherish you so much, you were the ones I leaned on. You were my crutch.

You were there for me, family, in my last days.

There were so many late nights over, remember the overnight stays.

Now, I must travel the road alone, with nothing to carry, just these tired old bones.

In the long nights and empty days ahead, remember me for the good days we had.

Remember my smile and try not to be sad.

I gave it all I had and so much more.

Appreciate everything that life has to give.

You only have just one life to live.

Take this time, family, to get it right, before death comes quietly and steal you away like a thief in the night.

Please lift up your heart and share with me.

God wanted me now. He set me free.

Praise the Lord, Hallelujah, I’m free.
