CRYSTAL ELAINE MACKEY PHILLIPS

CHARLOTTE- Mrs. Crystal Elaine Mackey Phillips, 65, passed away November 21, 2022 in Charlotte. She was born August 8, 1957, first of four children born of the late John Curtis Mackey and Lillie Louise Mackey of Charlotte. 

Crystal graduated from South Mecklenburg High School class of 1975. Before her retirement, she was employed by BB&T in Charlotte. Her colleagues admired her good spirit and her cheerfulness. 

Her beloved husband of 18 years, Mr. John Mark Phillips, Sr., predeceased her one month before her own passing on October 13, 2022. She is also predeceased by her sister, Jarrisha Mackey Johnson, in 1995. She is survived by two brothers; Maurice N. Mackey and Curtis Velto Mackey, both of Charlotte; many nieces and nephews and extended family.    

Crystal will be missed by the Cindy Park Neighborhood. They will miss her beautiful smile and her dogs. She and Mr. John are now having a good time together again in heaven. Rest in peace.
