YVONNE CHRISTY DION

FARMINGTON CT - Yvonne Christy Dion, 59, after a long illness, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on July 21, 2017 in Farmington, CT. She was born January 6, 1958 in Rutherfordton, NC, daughter of Donat Vincent and Joyce Bennett Gates Dion. She was a longtime resident of Mt. Pleasant, SC.

She was a graduate of South Mecklenburg High School class of 1975 and UNC Charlotte in 1979. Christy was an artist and innovative designer.

She is survived by her son, Bonner, daughter, Aylah, and father, Don. Plans are underway for a celebration of her life locally in Charleston for close friends and associates.
